Digital Toolkit on Primary Health Care
Everyone should get the right care, at the right time, right in their community.

The World is Ready

Primary health care is about helping people to live the healthiest lives possible, and when they need health care, providing the right care, at the right time, right in their communities. It is a critical foundation of universal health coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals.

This is why, 40 years after the historic 1978 Alma-Ata Declaration first identified primary health care as key to Health for All, world leaders will gather at the Global Conference on Primary Health Care to revitalize primary health care for the 21st century and inspire concrete investment and action in every country.
